How to select an appropriate electromagnetic flowmeter

Seal open flow instrument Co., Ltd. has been engaged in the research and production of electromagnetic flowmeter for more than 30 years, with rich experience and excellent quality. The electromagnetic flowmeter of our company is divided into integrated electromagnetic flowmeter, split electromagnetic flowmeter, plug-in electromagnetic flowmeter and battery powered electromagnetic flowmeter. How to correctly select the material of electromagnetic flowmeter is a very important problem as a common flow instrument. Because in the electromagnetic flowmeter, the part in contact with the medium is only the interior of the electrode and the measuring tube, the materials of the electrode and lining need to be reasonably selected according to different medium properties.

1、 General electrode materials are divided into the following types:

  1. Stainless steel, suitable for nitric acid, sulfuric acid less than 5% at room temperature, boiling phosphoric acid, formic acid, alkali solution, sulfite, seawater and acetic acid under certain pressure.

  2. Hastelloy B, Hastelloy C. It can be used for seawater and brine.

  3. Titanium. It can be used for seawater, various chemicals and secondary hydrochloric acid, oxidizing acid (including fuming nitric acid), organic acid, alkali, etc.

  4. Tantalum. Except fuming sulfuric acid and alkali, other chemical media, including hydrochloric acid and nitric acid with boiling point and sulfuric acid < 175 ℃, can be used.

  5. Platinum. It can be used for various acids, bases and salts, but not aqua regia.

2、 How to select the lining material is also very important, how to accurately select the lining material. It must be noted that the lining material shall be selected according to whether the characteristics of the measured medium are corrosive, abrasive and temperature.

  1. Rubber. It has excellent elasticity, high breaking force, good wear resistance, resistance to general weak acid and alkali erosion, and can measure water, sewage, mud and slurry.

  2. Polyurethane. It has excellent wear resistance, poor acid and alkali resistance, and can measure neutral and strong wear coal slurry, slurry and ore slurry.

  3. Polytetrafluoroethylene. Boiling resistant hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, aqua regia, concentrated alkali and various organic solvents, good wear resistance and poor adhesion.
