1. Inaccurate input of pipeline parameters
The portable ultrasonic flowmeter probe is installed outside the pipeline. It directly measures the flow rate of the fluid in the pipeline. The flow is the product of the flow rate and the pipeline flow area, and its pipeline area and sound channel length are calculated by the pipeline parameters manually input by the user. The accuracy of these parameters directly affects the measurement results. That is to say: even if the flow rate of the flowmeter is measured accurately, if you input a group of inaccurate pipeline parameters, the measurement result is also inaccurate.
2. Installation distance of probe
The installation distance of the probe is an important measurement parameter that must be accurately guaranteed. In order to find the best signal strength, some users use the way of moving a probe to find the signal. Often, with the signal, the installation distance of the probe is wrong, so they pay attention to one thing and lose the other. The correct method is to move two probes in parallel, find the best installation point on the premise of ensuring that the installation distance of the probe meets the requirements, and confirm that the installation distance of the probe is accurate by measuring after the signal is found.
3. Lining of pipes
The pipeline lining also has a great impact on the measurement. Some old pipelines adopt cement mortar lining for anti-corrosion. If its existence is ignored in the measurement, it will produce a great error, because the thickness of cement mortar lining is generally not a negligible number. In addition, its surface is rough and dry, easy to adhere to mud and sand, and easy to fall off, which may have a great impact on the measurement. During the measurement, if the lining parameters are not input and the signal cannot be found according to the normal operation, it should be considered that the pipeline may be lined.
