1.Introduction

MGG/KL-LDSR08 is a radar velocimeter integrating microstrip antenna, RF circuit and signal processing circuit. It directly outputs target velocity information and can be used for water flow velocity measurement.

2.Technical Features

Millimeter-wave radar refers to radar operating in the millimeter-wave frequency band. Millimeter Wave (abbreviation: MMW) represents electromagnetic waves with wavelengths ranging from 1 to 10 mm, corresponding to a frequency band of 30 ~ 300 GHz. (In practical applications, electromagnetic waves above 24 GHz are generally referred to as millimeter waves; therefore, the 24 GHz band is also classified into the millimeter-wave radar category.)
The higher the frequency, the shorter the wavelength, the higher the resolution and the stronger the penetration capability. However, it also brings greater propagation loss and shorter transmission distance. Conversely, the lower the frequency, the longer the wavelength, the stronger the diffraction capability and the longer the transmission distance.
Compared with microwave radar, millimeter-wave radar features higher resolution, better directivity, stronger anti-interference performance and superior detection capability. Compared with infrared sensors, millimeter waves have lower atmospheric attenuation, better penetration through smoke and dust, and less susceptibility to weather conditions. These characteristics enable millimeter-wave radar to work round-the-clock under all weather conditions.
